Custom web design for small businesses and trades.
Your website is often the first impression a customer gets. I design every site from scratch around your brand, your customers and the one action you want them to take: call, book or request a quote.
What’s included in web design
Design is more than how a site looks. It’s how clearly it explains what you do and how easily a visitor takes the next step.
- Custom layout designed for your business instead of a drag-and-drop template
- Mobile-first design, planned for phones before desktop
- Clear calls to action placed where visitors are ready to act
- Page structure planned around search, so each page has one clear topic
- Brand-matched look: colors, type and imagery that suit your business
- Accessible by design: readable contrast, keyboard-friendly navigation and image alt text
- Drafts along the way, so you see the design take shape before launch
How I approach a design
I start with your customers, not a template. Who are they, what are they worried about when they land on your site, and what makes them pick one company over another? The answers decide the layout, the headlines and what goes above the fold.
For a trade company, that usually means a tap-to-call button within reach, proof (photos, reviews, credentials) close to the top, and a separate path for urgent versus planned work. For a professional-services firm, it might mean credibility, clear practice areas and a calm path to a consultation.
Design and SEO aren't separate steps for me. The structure I plan for visitors, with a clear page for each service, is the same structure search engines reward.

When you need new design
- Your site looks dated or doesn't match the quality of your work.
- It's hard to use on a phone.
- Visitors leave without calling or filling out a form.
- You're launching a new business or adding services.
- You're working from a template that looks like everyone else's.
Web design questions
Do you use templates?
No. Each site is designed for the business, so it doesn't look like a copy of someone else's.
Do I need to provide the text and photos?
If you have them, great. I'll help shape the structure and the copy with you, and I'll tell you which photos are worth getting taken. You review everything for accuracy before launch.
How many revisions do I get?
The proposal states how drafts and revisions work. You'll see the design before it goes live and can ask for changes.
Will the design work on every device?
Yes. I test from small phones to large desktop screens before launch.
